The Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio, is renowned as the only pontifical seminary in North America, giving it a prestigious and direct connection to the Vatican. Prospective students seeking to discern a vocation to the Catholic priesthood will find its strongest academic offerings in the College of Liberal Arts and the School of Theology, which feature highly rigorous programs in Philosophy, Holy Scripture, and Systematic Theology. The campus culture is deeply communal and structured around the four pillars of priestly formation—spiritual, human, intellectual, and pastoral—fostering a close-knit brotherhood among seminarians from dioceses across the globe. Adding to its distinctiveness, this historic 100-acre campus offers a peaceful, contemplative environment featuring stunning Romanesque architecture and world-class resources for theological research and liturgical music.
