About

Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina, is famously distinguished as one of only two historically Black, all-women’s liberal arts colleges in the country, fostering an exceptionally supportive and empowering environment for its students, affectionately known as "Bennett Belles." The college is highly regarded for its strong academic programs in the natural sciences, social sciences, and communications, which prepare women for impactful careers and postgraduate studies. Grounded in a rich history of social justice activism—dating back to the students' pivotal participation in the 1960 Greensboro sit-ins—the campus culture deeply emphasizes civic engagement, community leadership, and global awareness. Through an intimate student-to-faculty ratio, Bennett offers a highly personalized experience where young women are championed to find their unique voices and become agents of societal change.
