About

Stone Child College, a tribally controlled community college chartered by the Chippewa Cree Tribe on the Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation, is best known for its dedicated preservation of indigenous culture and its commitment to offering accessible, high-quality higher education. The college features strong, career-oriented academic programs, particularly in Native American Studies, Teacher Education, Allied Health, and Natural Resources, which uniquely integrate traditional Cree language and history into the curriculum. On campus, students experience a highly supportive, tight-knit community defined by a very low student-to-faculty ratio and a vibrant cultural environment that celebrates tribal heritage through local events and student organizations. This distinctive blend of personalized instruction, cultural immersion, and scenic rural Montana surroundings makes Stone Child College an exceptional choice for students seeking both professional growth and a deep connection to indigenous community values.
