About

Located in the heart of Kentucky’s historic bluegrass region, Midway University is a private institution best known for its premier equine studies programs, which utilize a fully operational, 200-acre on-campus horse farm. Beyond its renowned equine science and management majors, the university’s strongest academic pathways lie within its highly regarded pre-licensure nursing program and its career-focused business administration majors. The campus culture is exceptionally tight-knit and active, driven by a student body where a vast majority of undergraduates participate in competitive NAIA athletics or equestrian show teams. What truly sets Midway apart is this unique combination of a vibrant athletic culture, its history as Kentucky's last all-women's college (now fully coeducational), and its ability to offer personalized, hands-on learning in a picturesque, rural setting.

Wikipedia:Midway University is a private Christian university in Midway, Kentucky, United States. Related by covenant to the Christian Church, it enrolls approximately 2,000 students earning associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Midway began as an orphan school for female students in 1847 and over the decades evolved from a high school, to a junior college, and then a four-year women's college, the only one in Kentucky. The college became a university in July 2015 and in the fall of 2016 became fully coeducational.
